There’s nothing like a little bubbly to start the year off right!

Never show up to the party empty handed again. This Cranberry Orange Prosecco Punch is almost too easy NOT to make for all of your holiday and New Year’s parties! With a bottle of sparkling wine in tow, simply pour it in the fruity winter cocktail mix as soon as you arrive.

A big bowl of this easy Sparkling Negroni Punch or this bright and tasty Hibiscus Lime Punch is always welcome at parties. They’re a breeze to make ahead of time and are so easy to serve. This holiday punch with alcohol is just as easy, but is made with seasonal ingredients like cranberries, orange, and bubbly Prosecco (or if you're real fancy, Champagne!).

Overhead of a punch bowl and two punch glassed filled with a light orange liquid, ice and floating cranberries.

Each sip is tart, sweet, and not super boozy. Enjoy the hints of lime and fizzy Prosecco bubbles while snacking on a platter of winter treats like Cranberry Shortbread, a Winter Meat and Cheese Board or any of our party-ready appetizers. Your guests will just love it all.

    Sparkling holiday punch ingredients

This short list of simple ingredients is poured into a pitcher or punch bowl right before serving! Everything is so fresh, tart, and fruity without costing an arm and a leg.

    Prosecco

Prosecco is an Italian sparkling wine. It’s a popular (and often budget-friendly) alternative to Champagne and has a fruity, aromatic flavor. You can shop for a mid-priced bottle of Prosecco, Cava, when making this holiday punch or stick to sparkling water if you prefer to keep it alcohol-free.

Bottles of prosecco, orange juice, vodka, and cranberry juice along with simple syrup and limes on a marble surface.

    Orange juice

Go ahead and use bottled, storebought orange juice if you’re looking to save time! I love using Simply OJ when I don't want to juice my own oranges for large party punch recipes. You can always buy a few oranges while you’re out shopping and use the fresh slices or orange twists as a nice garnish in the punch.

    Cranberry juice

Do your best to use unsweetened pure cranberry juice not from concentrate. The alternative, cranberry juice cocktail, is made with added sugar which could affect the overall taste of the punch. The tart flavors from 100% real cranberry juice are what make this cranberry Prosecco punch so special!

    Lime juice

Fresh lime juice helps cut through the tart cranberry and sweet orange flavors. I recommend juicing the limes yourself using a citrus reamer, but if all you have is bottled lime juice at home, go ahead and use it!

    Vodka

Just a splash of vodka in this New Year’s Eve cocktail gives it an extra bite while making it slightly boozier. All you need is a low to mid-priced bottle of vodka since you won’t be using much or use something nicer if that's what you have on hand.

If you prefer to keep the punch on the not-so-boozy side, you can skip the vodka or use a little less. If you’re looking to add more, feel free to pour an additional 4 ounces in the punch.

    Simple syrup

This sugar water is necessary for balance. Just a little bit of simple syrup gives the punch some sweetness to help cut down on the tart and citrusy flavors.

    Quick Tip!

    • Don't buy simple syrup, make it!
    • It's easy to make at home by heating equal parts white granulated sugar and water together until the sugar dissolves. Let the finished syrup cool completely before using it in the punch or bottling it for later.

How to make holiday Prosecco punch with cranberry and orange

Grab a big pitcher or punch bowl and put this easy Prosecco punch recipe together in a few short steps:

A glass punch bowl being filled with prosecco.

Step 1: Get a large punch bowl and pour your sparkling wine into it.

If you're making a batch to serve later, add the sparkling wine right before serving.

A large glass punch bowl filled halfway with a light orange beverage and a large ice cube.

Step 2: Add the remaining ingredients.

Step 3: Add a bunch of ice and fresh cranberries or orange slices to garnish!

    Serve up!

    Non-alcoholic holiday punch

Not feeling the booze in this punch? No problem! You can easily make this recipe friendly for everyone by removing the vodka from the punch and replacing the Prosecco with just as bubbly sparkling water, like Topo Chico.

For the best of both worlds, you can mix the fruit juices and simple syrup together in a pitcher. Have a few bottles of Prosecco, sparkling water, and vodka on the side so your guests can customize their cocktail.

Can you make punch ahead of time?

Easily! Simply mix all of the ingredients (except for the Prosecco and ice) together in a punch bowl or pitcher the day before the party. Leave it in the fridge overnight and make sure to keep the Prosecco in the fridge as well so it’s cold. When it’s time to serve, stir the Prosecco into the fruity vodka mixture, top with ice and garnishes and enjoy!
