So Easy! Mint Simple Syrup for Mocktails

This fresh and bright mint simple syrup comes together in 15 minutes and adds a special touch to so many different recipes. Great for cocktails and mocktails alike!

Equipment

  • small saucepan
  • fine mesh sieve

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups packed mint leaves about 2 bunches

Instructions

  • Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan.
  • Cook the sugar and water over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. You’ll want to stir it a couple of times while it’s cooking!
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the mint leaves. Let them steep for 15 minutes.
  • Now strain the mint simple syrup through a fine-mesh sieve, discard the cooked mint leaves and let your syrup cool.
  • Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 month.
