Preheat oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a 12-inch skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in garlic, parsley, and salt.
Stretch pizza dough to a 12-inch round.
Evenly spread on the sauce, top with cheese, and then with the mushrooms and then the shallot.
Bake 12 minutes.
Top with parmesan cheese if desired, slice, and serve!
