Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade

An easy twist on a classic, Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade is fun and festive for summer.

Equipment

  • fine mesh strainer
  • medium saucepan
  • silicone spatula

Ingredients

Blueberry Syrup

  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Lemonade

  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cups sparkling water
  • blueberry syrup

Garnish

  • blueberries
  • mint

Instructions

Blueberry syrup

  • Combine blueberries, sugar, water, and salt in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the berries have burst and sugar has dissolved about 8 minutes.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing out all the juice.
  • Allow the syrup to cool completely before using.

Lemonade

  • Combine all ingredients into a large pitcher and serve over ice!
