Finely chop half of the imitation crab meat and roughly chop the other half, set aside.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese using an electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 30 seconds.
Add mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, dijon mustard, garlic powder, tabasco and salt and pepper, and beat with the mixer on high speed until smooth, about 1 minute.
Stir all of the chopped crab (fine & chunky pieces) and chives into the cream cheese mixture, cover, and chill for at least 1 hour.
Garnish with additional pepper and chives and serve with your favorite crackers!
