Buffalo Sauce

This 15-minute Buffalo Sauce is mild, tangy, and easy to make from scratch. It’s the perfect chicken wing sauce and made from only 7 ingredients!

Makes: 1.25 cups

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • cup Franks hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons distilled vinegar

Instructions

  • Measure out the garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and sugar into a small bowl. Set aside somewhere within easy reach of your stovetop.
  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Once the butter has melted, add all spices to the butter and constantly whisk until fragrant and slightly nutty, about 2 minutes.
  • Set aside to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Using a medium fine mesh sieve, carefully strain the melted butter mixture into a medium bowl. Discard the spices left in the strainer.
  • Whisking constantly, slowly pour the hot sauce into the butter mixture, followed by the vinegar.
